This digital magazine mixes information, news, curiosities and advertising. Her main goal is to facilitate integration to UK residents through the commercial sector. This was an idea that nobody had had before until she thought of this project and for now it seems very useful for some of the inhabitants of her town.

Interviewer: Why did you think about creating a magazine?

Diana: Because when I came here, I only talked in English and I didn't understand Spanish. I´m a journalist so I thought to make a bilingual newspaper to inform people in English and Spanish. There are a lot of English people here in Calasparra that don't speak Spanish.

Interviewer: When you started this project? Did you think about the benefits for the town and for the local UK community?

Diana: Sure, exactly that, for the integration of people, because if you don't know a language, that integration is so difficult. But we talk about festivities, concerts and all the news related with the UK community, British people feel part of the town.

Interviewer: Do you think you are an enterprising woman?

Diana: Yes, of course. We have an ecological garden, the newspaper and I also teach English. For this reason we can say we are entrepreneurs.

Interviewer: Do you think your magazine has contributed to the local economy and to the integration of people?

Diana: Yes, of course. One of the most important things for Nexo Magazine is that English people do their purchases here, in Calasparra. So, the companies and businesses have put advertson on it and English people have understood that the shops in town have interest in them. With the result that they visit restaurants, bars and the shops in Calasparra, that was part of the deal.

Interviewer: Do you think your efforts in this project are well compensated with the satisfaction and profits (if you have) that it provides you?

Diana: Now we haven't got so much profits with the magazine because it is digital and only in English. Actually, it's not a real business, but before, when it was bilingual, it was. Nexo Magazine helped us to live and earn a living. People in town have taken benefits form it, especially restaurants, although nowadays they are having profits. But the most important thing of Nexo Magazine is that people feel integrated, people that don't speak Spanish and won't speak it. Above all people that are old. It's much more difficult to learn languages when you're older.
