We have been in the practice of Headon, a famous group of our village.

The band is composed by Juan Salinas, the bassist, Matt McCarthy and Rubén Madrid with the guitars, Alfonso Ruiz, the drummer, and Tihan Muñoz, the singer who was kind enough to answer our questions.

How long ago the group started?

The group has been active since 2006, but it started with other members. Nowadays the only original member is Juan Salinas, our bassist.

How came the idea of starting a music group?

The idea started on our bassist's head, Juan Salinas, and well... I think that it should be him who tell you the story by himself.

Juan: Well... The idea began with the usual, you started playing music of others groups with your friends because you like it, and little by little you create your own songs.

Why did you choose the name 'Headon' for the band?

Headon is for Head-on, and the philosophy of the group is always to go straight, no matter what happened.

You have to be courageos from the beginning to the end.

The beginning was tough?

The beginnings are never easy, at first, you want to have a band, you want to play music but you don't know where you going to get and not all the members think the same, you have to figth, but sometimes there're people who stay on the road.

Do you have any planned concert soon?

Oh yes, we have some concerts confirmed and some more to be confirmed.

The next one is going to be in Alcoy on the 8^th of March and then the next it's the 22^nd of March in Aguilas...

Can you tell us how has your carreer been until today ?

If I'm not wrong, the band gave some concerts in their first years and they recorder their first demo tape in 2007 with 5 songs more o less, and in 2010 they released their first album, 'Rabia and corazón' which was the last work with Andrés, then Andy left too, and shortly after I went to the group.

Can you tell us anything about your last album too?

I personally, I consider it a very complete album, it has a lot of songs very different from each other, but at the same time they fit perfectly in our style.

Our song range from 'Oscuros Sueños' the strongest and hardest, to 'Eternidad' which is the softest song, a ballad itself.

And the last question, what are your goals for the future?

Well, right now, we're working in what would be our next album, but I can't tell you anything about that, also we're going to record our new demo tape and finish the tour with the new members.
